Shooting too many 3s and jumpers always been a problem with the offense. When we are aggressive we usually win. You have to get to the line. I'm not going to go back and do math but I would guess we win pretty much every time we are the more aggressive team

So Evans is named Top 20 at his position. And that's all classes combined. So if they 2015 HS recruiting class was re-ranked, where would Evans be? I think it's safe to say better than whatever they had him at coming in.

My Main question marks this season

1.cane-if he's good or average we are in great shape. If not, we have a problem. The difference between a legit final 4 contender and another 1st weekend team
2.bench scoring. We don't need much but we. Need a couple guys to be able to step in and not have a drop off. I know we like our freshman but you never really know what you're getting with them.
3.jacob- can he take that next step? Not even stats wise, just be able to make a play or shot when we have to have it. More aggressive. if he becomes a Grayson Allen type (minus the crazy part)/ even a josh hart type it would open things up a lot. He has better tools than both but don't know if he will ever get there

I know everyone but has talked about most of these but as the season gets closer this is what I'm thinking will make or break us.

Jake I agree our personnel is better but to beat good teams you have to get to FT line and get some easy hoops in transition. Let's also not forget that last years team while better offensively didn't get out of the first weekend. We on this board were screaming for someone to play downhill. The problem with 3's last year is who was shooting them. Caupain at 32.5 % & KJ at 30.9%(while firing up 162 of them) was not good.

If Jacob can hit over 41%, like he did last year, he can shoot them all night long as far as I'm concerned. I hope Cumberland can up his % a bit. My hope is that Broome driving the basket will open up clear 3's for others who will then shoot at a higher clip...defenders will have to be wary of both Broome & Cumberland driving & kick-outs might be more open. Inside out games only work when there is a threat inside & last year there wasn't often enough from the guards.
