They are 2-2 in Group 1, with one bad Group 4 loss. That's not putrid. I don't know if Houston will make it, but I would be shocked if the American only gets two teams in, with so many top 75 RPI teams. Somebody will likely separate from the pack. Whether that's Houston, UCF, Temple or SMU remains to be seen.

I just did an rpi forecast of Houston. If they lost 4 more games(UC 2x, smu1x and WSUx1) they’d finish with an RPI of 33.
That puts them on the right side of the bubble. And that’s without picking up another marquee Win |

All the talk about how many AAC teams get in the NCAA Tournament got me thinking...How many AAC teams could Cronin inherit the roster of and make the tournament with?
UC Wichita State Houston? UCF? SMU? Tulsa? Temple? UConn? Memphis? Tulane? |

The baseball team? No, Seraphim, Cherubim, those guys... My Prediction: 20 more pages in this thread by game time tomorrow, and yeah, if Cronin had those teams from the start, in this league, he'd make the tournament. In a P5 conference? No way. |

It’s harder to make the tournament In a less respected league. Cronin has never won the auto bid in this league and yet still gets in with room to spare. |

Another team that will be on the bubble come selection Sunday. This league is a 2 bid league. This league gets no respect and rightfully so. How else do you explain a 5 loss leak getting a 6 seed. I will go with history on this one.

I agree it's not looking as good as it was at the beginning of January. One by one they are starting to fall. We are going to have to take care of business if we want a decent seed because we aren't getting much help.
