The best thing about KJ is that he has great composure and no fear. He hit some big shots and free throws as a freshman. Caupain also showed some great poise in some key games. Glad we got these guys for 3 more years.

KJ has the most fluid jumper from the returning players on the team, I suspect he averages between 8-11 ppg next season.
have you seen him shoot 3s? how do you know he can shoot the 3? i know for a fact that the staff did not allow him or want him shooting beyond 15 feet in games this year. big difference between mid range abad 3 point range.

He shoots a ton of 3's in practice and in warm ups, not to mention in high school. Obviously the staff didn't want a freshman playing out of position at center shooting 3's.

General question regarding next year and beyond...
Will KJ play some/a lot of PG throughout the rest of his career? The reason I ask is bc of the SG we are recruiting. If we got Haywood and Malik Beasley (both eligible 2015), things would be crowded with Morman in the mix as well.
Even if we land Jenifer, itd just be him and Troy at PG after Guyn leaves.
Just wondering how that would work out. Obviously there are still a lot of things that can change, but I wouldnt mibd KJ handling the ball as an upperclassman when TC is out.

I wouldn't count on him playing too much point guard in the future. If you look at the future roster composition, there is only Sanders (SR) and Thomas (JR) as true 3 men. I think you are more likely to see 3 guard line-ups with Caupain, Johnson and Morman. With Johnson and Morman's defensive ability they will be able to guard bigger players much like Parker was.

Mick likes all his guards to be able to handle the rock. Parker spent a year at PG, Dixon ran point when Cash wasn't on the floor and this year SK handled the ball frequently. KJ and Morman will both need to be good ball handlers.

Morman would run point before KJ would.

the staff wants Johnson to be able to be competent enough as an upperclassman to be able to handle playing a few backup pg minutes the same way Dixon did- especially Dixon's senior year.

starting 5

TC
KJ
Gary Clark (more advanced offensively than Shaq Thomas who barely shoots 30% from the field)
Lawrence
Moore

First off the bench
Thomas
Sanders
Guyn
Strickland
Moorman
Deberry

I expect Mick to sign a SG who can really shoot.

1. Shaq Thomas shot 45% from the field which was second on the team behind Justin Jackson.

2. Gary Clark is not a small forward. He is a 4 man.
