I believe home court gets to decide but I could be 100 percent wrong. I fee like X choses it earlier in the year since their conference is harder? Like I said, I could be absolutely wrong.

I wouldn't mind an early shootout this year. I could be wrong but I feel it hasn't been really early in awhile. Beat them and get the season started right

I think I'm in the same boat as you, mostly because our roster isn't changing much. It sounds like Bluiett may be coming back, but they've got like 7 freshman that they're going to try to get acclimated. I know Scruggs and Marshall are going to be good, but they won't be that seasoned so early in the year. Would rather face them before they've been given time to gel.

Xavier always schedules it in December it seems. I've also heard some rumors about it being in December but not entirely sure |

I always thought it had something to do with X using FS1 and we use ESPN.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that the home team's network decides when and what time the game will be played. I don't believe the school has any say in it. These games are known before the conference schedule is created.

I agree with others that playing Xavier early in the year would be a good thing this season.
And I hate to re-hash, but once again about scheduling tough... Scheduling tough = better home games = better attendance = more money Scheduling tough = higher profile games = more media coverage = better recruits Scheduling tough = better computer numbers = better NCAA seeds = better chance to advance in tournament More money, more exposure, better recruits, better chance to win the March when it counts. That's why you schedule tough. |

The non-conference opponents of Memphis are out: http://www.commercialappeal.com/stor...son/324639001/
The list lacks a lot of big names, but there are a lot of really good mid-majors on there like NKU and Albany. I hope we can get some quality buy games this year. It could make a real difference in tournament seeding. |
