With their injuries, this is one you have to win. Still won't be easy but have to have it.

With Milton likely out, SMU will be down to 7 scholarship players with 2 of them being true freshmen who have had limited roles up to this point.
They only have two true post players available now (Chargois and Agau) but they don't seem to play together much at all. If we can lure both of them into foul trouble then that'll give us a massive advantage down low. McMurray and Whitt both played 40 minutes against Tulsa last week. Emelogu played 35. I'd really like to see us wear this team down since they'll only have two days rest between a tough Houston match-up and us. |

Apropos of nothing, but I just noticed that Eliel Nsoseme and Jacob Evans were born on the same day: June 18, 1997.

?? day to day or week to week
Southern Methodist's Shake Milton (1) collides with Temple's Quinton Rose (13) during the second half at Moody Coliseum in Dallas on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018. Temple won, 66-64. (Ron Baselice/Dallas Morning News/TNS)
By Adam Grosbard , Staff Writer Contact Adam Grosbardon Twitter:@AdamGrosbard SMU guard Shake Milton is doubtful for Thursday's game against Houston with a right hand injury, head coach Tim Jankovich said on his weekly radio appearance on KAAM-770 AM Monday night. Milton missed SMU's loss to Tulsa last week with the same injury, which requires a brace on the hand. Jankovich described Milton as "day-to-day and week-to-week" moving beyond Thursday's game. |

Things are getting crazy in college basketball right now!! The best teams in the country are getting pushed to the wire or losing. This is a huge game for us. We can continue to climb the ladder.
Show up with intensity and focus. Play our typical D, take care of the ball, and fight for rebounds. That is our winning formula every night. Only a handful of teams in the country can hang with us if we do those things. It doesn't have to be pretty. I don't care if Shake plays or not...we have to come with the same attitude either way. |
