On the trade rumor front i hear bearcattalk is closing in on a deal to send Bearcatboy to xavierhoops in exchange for an expired penn station gift card and a swift kick in the nuts.

Industry insiders really like the deal for bearcattalk.

That would put a damper on ability to extend him; however, it does make sense from a Reds perspective. Oh well, Jay is one of my favorite young kids coming through the system in the last 25 years.

My favorite Jay Bruce memory is a private affair. As the long U became common way of announcing his name, my son (6 at the time) kept thinking they were saying Babe Ruth. He asked me when the Reds got Babe Ruth from the Yankees LOL

I think the Reds should trade Hoover for Chapman
Brandon Phillips for Jose Altuve
Billy Hamilton for Mike Trout
Jay Bruce for Giancarlo Stanton
Adam Duvall for Bryce Harper
Barnhart for Posey
Simon for Kershaw
and if they would do it Straily and Cingrani for Cueto and Bumgarner

I think that should do it.

That's too many strikeouts in your line-up. That's only three in the starting rotation. Are Lamb and Finnegan the other two?

As to payroll, they wouldn't have to worry about it. The payroll deficit would be made up in increased ticket sales. Can you say sellout every game!

Finnegan and Lamb to the bullpen along with Iglesias. Cody Reed(he will learn) and Disco will close out the Rotation. Im told Bailey/Walt are being traded to the cubs for Joe Madden and Theo Epstein.

Strikeouts will be up, but so will Home runs. Home runs are cool because chicks dig that.

According to Peter Gammons, Reds asking price is really high for Bruce. They want 2 elite close to major league ready prospects and would like another prospect who is 19 or 20 years with some potential.

According to Buster Olney the Reds are looking for position player prospects more than pitching prospects for Cozart and Bruce.
