If one team wins both probably be one team closer if not in the top ten and the other 15-20.
They are in the Maui this year, so we wont have to wait long to see how good they are. The field isn't great but there are a couple good teams they could play

im not under estimating them. Just because you give UK a good game, doesn't make you great. That means Tennessee, Alabama and Miss State are all great too.

I KNOW WSU is good. and I really want them to be really really good. But the fact is, they beat Dayton and that was their only good win.

Im just not about to hand them the keys to the conference when all I have to go off is a win against Dayton and Illinois State. I hope they are good as hyped is all.

I agree...they lose absolutely nothing from a team that, once it jelled, finished the season very strongly. I don't know anything about incoming frosh...anyone?

Did some reading over at the SMU board. And many there believe Semi is gone. They dont see him getting better especially if he has to play the 4 when he will have to play the 3 in the NBA. They are also guard heavy and some believe mcmurray may redshirt, which i find really dumb

I don't understand why he would come back. Not much he could improve on to increase his stock

IF Semi doesn't return its bad news for the conference. They just won't have any 4's or 5's on the team that can compete against UC and WSU.

As for McMurray, Im confused on what class he would be if he returned. He transferred in the middle of his sophomore year, so when he plays the 2nd semester for SMU, would he be a sophomore or a JR?

If he is a JR, he should no doubt redshirt. If he is a Sophomore, then he needs to play and move Shake to the 2 guard

If anything, he could increase his stock just by next years class being much less stacked than this one...

thats the only reason I can think of.

Also, why would they redshirt anyone? They played with 6 guys last year and 3 of them are leaving. Obivously I'm not as dialed in to the SMU as them but it seems dumb to redshirt anyone

That's a good reason. This class is loaded.

I think the league is going to be just like last year. 2 goods teams at the top and everyone else. I don't think anyone is even close to Uc and wsu. Not sure there is even another tourney team. Maybe ucf or uconn sneak in
