Would the loss of Evans be easier if we were guaranteed to make it to the Elite 8? I think I will be sad no matter how deep of a run we make.

Except if Evans came back it wouldn't be a rebuild...

If it's close to 1st round/2nd round.....that is the tough decision. As a fan I'd say STAY....but if he thinks it's his best shot, he has to go.
Agree

Evans age-wise is basically like a SO right now. That's why I think he can still have a shot at being a 1st round pick if he comes back. All about a guaranteed contract.

Cole Swicker has Evans at 15 on his big board (he is a scout for the nets as well as basketball writer) per his twitter. His site hasn't been updated to reflect it yet though https://www.thestepien.com/2018-draft-rankings/

Sam vecenie has Evans at #38. https://theathletic.com/237505/2018/...-build-around/

Evans was 24th on ESPN's mock draft ( which is ran by the guys who used to run Draft express, until ESPN bought them)

NBAdraft.net has evans at 56

Tankathon has Jacob Evans at #26 http://www.tankathon.com/mock_draft

I think Vecenie and Cole Zwicker do a good job and respect their opinions.

Evans draft stock will be tested in March.

I agree. March is make or break. If the season ended today, i don't think anyone is guaranteeing him anything. The next few weeks could change that.

yeah its not as much as what year you are in college as much as it is your age. a lot of kids aren't getting to college until 20-21 now with prep schools and all that.

sk was 24 as a sr, gary is 23, kyle is 24.

jarron is 3 months younger than jake. jenifer is a year and a half older.

jake would be a very young sr. his potential would not be capped even if he came back he'd still just turn 22 right around the draft.
