Hysterical that UK is ahead of us. Not saying we'd beat them, but resume to resume, that's a joke.

Apparently UK gets a pass because they lost on a buzzer beater on the road...
Also, notice how many Big East teams are ranked. |

Hype and brand fellas. Kentucky is a generator or revenue for ESPN and a huge draw. If anyone thinks this doesn't play a part in the UNC, MSU, UK's and the like staying in the limelight when they are losing ur kidding yourself.

Also you have to think who is voting. It is media types that still think Kentucky is a good team. Also I don't have a huge problem with them not being penalized too much for losing on the road on a buzzer beater, plus so many teams ahead of them lost. I do think there is an inherit bias by the voters...this week isn't a huge indicator of that though.

For the record, Louisville is #31 in the RPI, that's why they don't show up as a Top 25 win for UK in my last post. UK is 1-3 vs Top 25 AP teams.

I don't really see why it's an issue. Moving teams up and down solely on losses seems kinda dumb to me. It's how you end up with Wichita St #5 and SD St #7.
Does anyone truly believe those are 2 of the best 7 teams in the country? Of course not, but they haven't lost in a long time, or at all, so they keep moving on up. The 2 main polls are just dumb. And yes I know those 2 teams are very good, probably somewhere in the 10-25 range, but not both top 7. |
