The reality is that we will pull ourselves out of this mess. Our talent is too good not to. We'll make the.NCAA again, and all the mediocrity lovers will go crazy. We'll get bounced in the 1st weekend again and all we'll hear is "8 straight NCAAs.....yoo-hoooooo!!!" And Mick will hit the recruiting trail again looking for those illusive 3-star diamond in the rough players to come in and lead us to our annual 2nd or 3rd place mid major finish and an 8 seed once again......and the cycle will repeat year after year.

The recruiting is abysmal. How can teams like Alabama get a 5 star player to go there. They suck at basketball and have for years.

I just listened to a podcast this week and they were talking about analytics depts and they specifically mentioned how important deflections are and how teams are starting to track it more and more to chart defensive activity. Paul George is currently leading the NBA in deflections per game, and he is well aware of it.

Find me a low ppg player that has a high contact or draft pick compared to a high ppg player.

The more years that go by the less desirable cronin is to other schools. They know his style and don't want it

But no one gets drafted on deflections alone, when people do get drafted on ppg alone.

Im pretty sure the only one that has happened is changing coach. Cronin has had his chance to make this program into something and just doesn't have it. We have the talent to make the sweet 16 regularly and just don't have the coaching to get us there.
