Looks like it’s back to this but
Cane plays less than 10 minutes I don’t like our chances. Cane plays 25+ I like them. |

we have to get back to being us. if we're gonna try to play this stall ball for 30 minutes again its just not a recipe for victory for us. our team needs to try to get out in transition when the opportunity presents itself. our guys seem to feed off it and we play with more energy on defense.
when mick stalled us out tonight, our defense seemed to back off too. the energy was just zapped. |

So who do we want to see guarding who?
Bearcat Starters: Evans - 6'6 Clark - 6'8 Cumberland - 6'5 Washington - 6'9 Broome/JJ - 6'0/5'10 Shocker Starters: Shamet - 6'4 Kelly - 6'7 Morris - 6'8 Brown - 6'6 Reaves - 6'5 We should match up size wise at every position except PG. Who do you put on Landry? Morris worries me because I think he will physically manhandle Gary and Kyle down low. Plus he can step out for the 3 also. Really need to limit the open 3s sunday. WSU has 6 guys shooting over 35% from 3 this year. Reaves, Morris, Haynes-Jones and Shamet are all over 40%. Cannot let these guys have any open looks. |

Time to move on I guess. This is now one of those must win situations (in terms of seeding and conference titles)...not for a tourney birth. We have to take 1 game from WSU if we want to secure a protected seed. Win 1 of them (and win the rest of the games we should win) and I still think we are a 3 seed. Lose both to WSU and we may be a 4 seed or borderline 5 because we blew all of our quality chances.
We need a quality win and the one at home is obviously most likely. The committee has already played their hand a little bit and may not want to move us out of the top 16...but if we can't take a quality game from here on out...they may have to reconsider and I don't want them to do that. Sell this game out and kick their ass!! |

I don't want to go into an away game at WSU on senior night to determine our conference championship or protected seed. This is a HUGE F***ing game!! Win this game (and the other games we "should win") and we will accomplish both objectives. Biggest game of the year! Lay it all on the line!

The running tally for +/- in conference games is +127 broome +90 jenifer.
The tally vs the 5 toughest games they both played in, SMU at home, at UCF, Temple at home, and both houston games is +42 broome and +22 jenifer. (Jenifer was +9 at temple but Broome didn't play so I didn't use it but am noting it here, he was also +9 vs temple at home and broome was +19 in that one) Let the man play. We need his energy. Team rallies around him. Last edited by cincrulz11; 02-16-2018 at 10:07 AM. |
