Couldn't be happier for Coach. I really hate to think where our program would be without him.

Terrific for Cronin and for the program!

Interesting enough, in the article when it discusses how they selected him over some others, it appears it took his body of work into account. Meaning, since he took over UC with 1 scholly player. So, he wont he award for this year but based on his career at UC?

A lot of these coaching awards always have context involved. Much deeper than just wins and losses

I just thought it was interesting that they talked about it that way. It's a nice article for Mick.

Agreed it was a wierd article for coach of the year, but I liked how it gave credit to the continuity in his staff too. Great piece of recruiting fodder for the staff out on the road.

well they had to go a little deeper than just this year, cause if its just this year, theres no way its not tony bennett.

uva wasn't even ranked in the national polls to start the season (but were 9 on kenpom).

Really liked how it hit on the difficulty involved in staying relevant as a non P-5 program. I really think that is why Carries a lot of weight for Mick in some circles.
