georgia st is a slow pace team too. 13 point favorite on kenpom, 87% win chance is low for a 2 v 15 (the others are 96, 96, and 94)
we have to show up ready to go. |

They haven't played many top teams, but they only lost by 5 at Mississippi. They were up 44-36 at halftime after opening the game on a 15-3 run.

No one in the field should be taken lightly. I'm confident Mick will make that point to the team. No one in the field should be taken lightly.

The best Kenpom team they have played this year is #66 Louisiana. Georgia St put up 106 points against them, 1.41 points per possession.

Georgia St is bottom 10 in the country in bench minutes, which is interesting because they foul a lot. They don't assist many of their shots. They are an awful rebounding team. Seems like they are a better shooting version of UConn in many ways.

Game is @2PM I'll be in Nashville for my girlfriend's 30th so this works perfectly for me, but I'll probably be at a bar watching the game.

i just watched about 5 minutes of their conference championship game. i never saw the ball go inside the 3 point line. they just kinda weave around and then a guy pops one. they dont really care if a defender is right there. they all shoot it very well. their center kinda stands around the FT line and then randomly sets screens. they play all zone on defense. sort of what smu did vs us. |

Their point guard is 4th in the country in usage rate. Containing him will be important.

and he will take some awful shots. i saw a few in the first 5 minutes. banked in a 3 right off the bat. 100.8 ORtg, but if hes on that could be tough. looks like a guy jake needs to guard. |

This Bearcat team has by and large beaten the teams it’s supposed to this year. I don’t expect that will change that week. Georgia State hasn’t played anyone this year that comes close to Cincinnati. It might be close for awhile, but in the end the Cats are too good.
