Deberry came in as a good ft shooter as his time on the court expanded his percentage decreased. Important to have those legs in great shape next season could make a difference.

I now agree with Bulldog. He said early on about starting Deberry at 5 and Ellis at 4.Everyone else fights for playing time. What a difference a summer makes.

I thought there was talk about redshirting Scott.

FWIW, looks like it started here:

OUTLOOK

A redshirt is likely in Scott’s future. Even though Jermaine Sanders graduates after this season, Shaq Thomas and Gary Clark, the two guys this freshman would likely battle for playing time in his first year on campus, both return. Overall, Mick Cronin’s 2015-16 squad will be loaded with seniors and you know how much UC’s head coach favors his vets. So Tre Scott will probably ride the pine as a freshman. But it’s not all bad. That extra year off will allow him the time to bulk up in the weight room and learn Cronin’s complicated defensive system at his own pace. In the end, Scott and the Bearcats will be better off with him redshirting next season.

During a post game this season Chuck said during DeBerry's senior year we are going to wish we had him for another year. Really think he could make a significant jump next year. Thought he held his own against UK big men.

Purdue and Kentucky definitely don't have slouches for big men. The more reps he gets against guys at a high level, the better we'll see him get. He will have a lot to do with our team success next year imo.
If he can lose about 20 lbs and get some conditioning in he could be a real gem next year...not just a role player. Needs to have better foot work on D as well as rebounding. That's about all I have to say on this kid for the off season. Do those things and the sky is the limit. He's got a wonderful touch on his shot, and he's actually pretty agile with the ball even when dribbling. He is tough to stop in the lane and can finish through contact...so he can get the other team in foul trouble.

Edit...He led the team in points/minute played! Cobb was 2nd FYI (if my stat source was right)

I think Corey will be the most improved player next season. UC will have the best post players in the league.

Redshirts will depend on final team make up.
