Kyle is a very good kicker. He has a stong leg, gets great height on his ball, and makes kicks. Also very big on kickoffs. Great kid with the right attitude. Has all the tools to be one of the very best in his class. Should challenge for an "Event Elite" spot at the 8th Annual National Kicking Spring Event this May.

Brownsburg kicker Kyle Christy was named as one of 400 nationwide seniors nominated for the 2011 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
From the 400 nominees, 90 are chosen to participate in the Jan. 8, 2011 contest at the Alamodome in San Antonio televised live on NBC. Christy, a 6-3, 175-pound junior this past year for the sectional-champion Bulldogs, connected on 5 of 8 field goals and 37 of 43 extra points. He also is considered one of the state’s top placekicker recruits for the Class of 2011. www.brownsburgstar.com |

Most Outstanding Punter:
Kyle Christy The Midwest Showcase Camp drew 71 athletes from 14 states this past weekend, including many of the region's and nation's top kickers, punters and long-snappers. There were many kickers and punters who have the ability to play in college, and here are some of the top performers. Kyle Christy (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg), is a highly rated kicker already after showing well at other Kohl's events, but he really took a step forward in becoming an all-around specialist with a a great showing as a punter. Christy's smooth two-step punting approach allowed him to hit a punt that went 51 yards and had 5.0 seconds of hang time. He's emerging as one of the nation's best punters and ended up winning the punting competition, then won the kickoff competition later in the afternoon with a blast that went 74 yards and had 3.91 seconds of hang time. His field goals were solid, but his kickoffs and punts were special. His long frame and fast leg should make him a highly recruited prospect in the months to come. Right now, he is considering LSU, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Indiana and Cincinnati. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recru...ory?id=5177092 |
