Good frame and athleticism. I'd love to pair him with McGary. Wow! Tenacious frontcourt!

On the surface I can't say I am as excited as you guys are. Looking at his offer sheet from Rivals, it appears only MAC svhools and WVU have made offers. Has any one seen him play and how does he compare with Elijah Macon? I do trust Mick's ability to evaluate talent, but was hoping for a bigger splash given the success of last year. Hopefully Mick has one of the top bigs in his back pocket (McGary or Hammons) and feels comfortable offering a player who appears to me to be a project.

I don't know much about Scott but with two scholarships available (of course others might become free) and the need for quality big men, the fact that Mick would take the commitment tells me that either (1) he is very high on Scott's abilities and/or (2) that he doesn't feel like the other alternatives are as likely or are worth the wait.

IMO, McGary is a long shot with all the big time schools on him. Also, I think Macon will struggle to qualify and as such he is a risk. Not too sure about Hammons but I'm guessing they still have him high on their list.

Certainly does seem to be a very tenacious, strong kid. I have a feeling with a good summer, this kid will blow up. Also was a former teammate of Jared Sullinger.

Well the kid just finished an unofficial visit to campus. Do you think the staff put the full court press on him to commit with the July evaluation period and summer AAU starting? In my opinion this kid is on the verge of blowing up. He is still learning how to play basketball (started playing in 8th grade), but his athleticism is top-notch.

From what I've seen from his highlights, all of his action at Northland is dunks, blocks, and rebounds. But that's understandable considering he's played with Sullinger, Burke, Weatherspoon, Robinson.

These two videos are more recent when he's been playing for the West Virginia Wildcats. I'm a fan of the kid...

The kid is going to be good. That guy at WVU is a pretty good judge of talent as well don't you think? He is raw offensively. playing 4 years of basketball will do that to you. He has the right tools and attributes to fit Micks scheme. Those of you disappointed now, won't be in time.

2012 OBC (OH) forward Devon Scott informed the Cincinnati staff of his commitment, but hasn't spoken with Mick Cronin yet, per a source.

I'm starting to wonder if Scott jumped the gun and committed without a firm offer?

I doubt it. I'm sure Mick is firmly on the same page with his staff. Jeff has said that George Jackson was the lead on recruiting him, so it makes sense that he is the one Scott talked to.
