Open Scholarships

Assuming Evans' scholly opens up, how would you like to see it used for next season?

Brandon mahan first priority, then maybe transfer if no one left that can contribute. Markus Carr.

Sounds like those guys aren't options anymore.

I know it's not Cronin's cup of tea, but I voted for a graduate transfer, mainly because serviceable wings aren't too hard to find and it keeps the scholarships equally balanced by class.

I'd rather not throw Moore or Williams to the wolves next season and let them gradually get more comfortable with their games starting the season on the bench. I'd also rather not start Jenifer and Broome together.

I agree but sounds like older recruits are under the impression that the minutes are spoken for. Then factor in how Cronin treats first year players...I'd say chances aren't good for grad transfers or juco guys. The idea of an immediate impact guy at this point seems a bit bleak. We're just ice skating uphill with 1 broken skate around here!

With 2 scholarships available, I'd like to use them both if one of them is a sit out transfer.

That's disappointing to hear.

You'd think that with the high likelihood of Evans' early departure, the staff would've made courting (no pun intended) a replacement a high priority.

They must have high confidence in Moore and/or Williams making big strides next season.

That's the scary part. We really might be a bubble team.

I'm sure they are trying and have tried hard to replace him. however, the likelihood of getting anyone this late that can come in and make an impact next year is slim

Step off the ledge man....we lost to Nevada in the second round. Get over it....the program isn’t doomed.
