But it's really, really stupid. An extra $100K (in theory) is a drop in the bucket compared to the arena. And if it can improve the product that you just invested all that money in? What?

Would Mick replace any of the coaches if he could anyway? I guess that's where we should start.
They got around the buy out firing Ollie for just cause for cheating. Dont forget that UConn is paying Diaco's buyout also

"initiating disciplinary procedure to terminate" Ollie's employment for "just cause," which would mean he would not have to be paid the roughly $10 million remaining on his contract. The action could lead to possible negotiations for a buyout down the road, but Ollie is out at UConn after six seasons.

Pat I don't know if they got around it yet. I think you'll see a court battle or much like our situation with Huggins a negotiated settlement. No way he doesn't get some of that money.

Kurtis Townsend and Norm Roberts, both of Kansas, are the highest-paid men’s basketball assistant coaches in the Big 12. They each received base salaries of $325,000 last season.

Just using a blue blood for reference.

We pay Cronin and the assistants right about $3M per year combined.

The top 3 assistants in the Big 12 make less than $1M combined. So in theory, with a $2M coach, we should be able to pay top dollar for assistant coaches. And we do for Larry Davis.

You think Coach Davis isn't worth his money?

Since we love discussing Huggins!

His Associate Head Coach is Larry Harrison. He makes just over $148K per year. Less than any of our coaches.

No I don't. If we are paying the highest end for an assistant, I'd expect him to be the lead recruiter on more than just Scott and Nsoseme out of our 11 current players (12 if you include Evans).*According to 247.

That's what I was thinking.
