2017 Cayman Island Field Announced

Inaugural Cayman Island Classic will take place from 11/20-11/22.

My understanding is it will be an 8 team bracketed event (so no lower bracket like many events have).

Field: Cincinnati, Iowa, UAB, Wyoming, Richmond, Buffalo, South Dakota State, and Louisiana Lafayette.

My guess is the 4 "bigger" programs will be bracketed against the 4 lesser programs in the opening game and Cincinnati and Iowa will be on opposite sides of the bracket.

Does anyone know what other bigger games we have next year besides hopefully Iowa, and Xavier?

I'm guessing we get Michigan at home provided they don't weasel their way out of another game. Besides that all the others H&H's expire.

I hope we look to programs that are good but don't get marquee games. I'd love to resume a series with VCU and start one with Wichita State.

Would be nice to get Villanova, Louisville, Pittsburgh, West Virginia or Syracuse on the schedule too but I doubt that ever happens.

Funny how Louisville (at least in football) will play Houston but not us when we've had an actual rivalry game with them for years.
