@Wichita St
Sunday, January 10
4:30 pm ESPN 2 Wichita St is #71 in Torvik. We're projected to lose 74-69. Their strengths are limiting turnovers and getting to the free throw line. Their weaknesses are shooting and defensive rebounding. Despite significant roster turnover and a new head coach, four of WSU's starters had significant minutes last year, and the fifth is grad transfer Alterique Gilbert from UConn. Tyson Etienne has blossomed into one of the top scorers in the conference, sporting a 126.6 ORtg. He very rarely turns the ball over, and he shoots 7 free throws per game at 86%. He also attempts 8 threes per game and hits 39%. Etienne has put up 25+ points in each of the last three games. |
Be nice to look decent today. Not sure what to expect.
Hopefully continue to go small and young |
In comes Vogt

A few miscues, but defense looks good so far, if we could make some open 3's we'd be up by more. Still 9-4 is a nice lead to start out. Now Vogt comes in, hopefully it doesn't lead to a WSU run.

2 quick fouls and a turnover. Probably for the best
|
2 fouls, 1 TO, nearly posterized. All it took for Vogt was less than a minute.
|
Vogt blows any flow and rhythm we were in. We need Eason on the floor.
|
I’d guess 80%-90% of Keith’s fouls are unnecessary
|
Eason struggling now, he makes some great plays, but you can tell he is still a freshman. He makes the most mistakes of any of our starters.
