Texas

What do we know about them? I haven't seen them play this year and looked up their schedule. They've not beaten any ranked opponents, are 1-3 on neutral sites and have a guard (J'Covan Brown) that drops 20/game. Anyone got a feel for how good they are?

Florida State looked nasty this week. Maybe the Bonnies can beat them.

I know this gets asked every year but when are the times announced for the Thursday and Friday games?

They are both a veteran squad and young squad. Weird mix of junior/seniors and a bunch of frosh that play alot. J'covan Brown does all the scoring. They go about 10 deep.

They don't shoot it particularly well from three point range, but you know how that goes for UC........that's when a team seems to get hot from out there.

They supposedly turn the ball over alot and can get sloppy. Also heard they don't really have a good low post game and that Yancy should do well.

I wonder if Mick will zone it up again if they can't hit the trey.

UC needs to pressure Texas's freshman point guard, he can get rattled.

They barely got in. We should beat them if we don't make mistakes.

Saw Texas twice and Brown usally keeps them in games. Pressure will rattle them but they have some talent and UC can't come in like they did against Louisville. Cats should win.

St. Bonnie has a good center from Canada, Andrew Nicholson, that was player of the year in the A10. He averaged over 18ppg and just over 8 rpg, along with 1.8 bpg.

Florida State could be a problem for UC. They are very good defensively and teams that can pressure UC on the perimeter give them trouble because of their tendency to dribble too much.

Either late tonight or early tomorrow. If they come out tonight, I'll post it here.

Texas is a good team, this will probably be the best game in the round of 64.
