Presbyterian (KP #258) opened the season with an 11-point loss at Clemson (KP #54) but have since rebounded to beat VMI in OT (KP #240) and The Citadel in double OT (KP #198) at home.

They're led by the 2021 Big South Freshman of the Year 6'4 G Rayshon Harrison who is averaging 22, 7 & 4 so far, albeit on poor shooting numbers (33% FG, 20% 3FG).

They return all 5 starters from last season's 7-15 squad, but have opted to bring last season's starting center, 6'9 Owen McCormack, off the bench to create a more athletic starting 5 this year where all players range between 6'4 & 6'7.

They've not shot the ball well as a team (36% FG, 22% 3FG) but have made up for it by crashing the offensive glass where they average 17 offensive boards/game.

They currently rank #346 on KenPom for Adjusted Tempo.

The Bearcats are 14 point favorites going into this evening.

Wondering if Vik gets held out again just to make sure he can play in the next game. He seemed ready to roll last game already but it's definitely not worth the risk right now

From Wes's post game Tuesday, going to assume Vik is out tonight. McGinnis as well.

Just win.

Okay thanks for the update. So Hensley is going to get some run tonight!

Vik said he'd be back tonight, but I agree Wes seemed more cautious. I'd guess that Vik won't play, but wouldn't surprise me to see him in.

Edit: Vik expected to play, per Wes Miller according to this tweet. https://twitter.com/JonRothstein/sta...52843818921991

Surprised that they'd even chance it tonight with Vik.

Figured they'd just keep him out until Illinois.

Agreed. Fingers crossed nothing happens.

On one hand you gotta say a few more days is helpful...but on the other hand you have to say a rolled ankle is still gonna be a potential future problem so a few days is not all that much more recover time. I would probably play it safe but also not a big difference. And I would not mind getting Vik a bit more playing time before Illinois. CAtch 22

I would like to see some an uptick in offensive efficiency in this one. I'd like to see Oguama get over the 20 minute mark. If Vic is full go, I want to see mostly a trio of the bigs with Vic, Koval, and Oguama.

Less long 2's off the bounce would be nice. DDJ is taking 5+ per game himself and its just not what we're looking for. He's taken 16 already this year, he only took 53 all of last year.

I agree on DD and long 2's. He's 6 of 16 on the year and that was helped a LOT by his last game. These are step generally back jumpers or long floaters which have much less chance of going in. When he can step into a long 2 I am fine with it. When he is stepping back or running I am not. Unless it's a very late clock.

I have the same feeling about Mason's 3 balls. I want him shooting (a LOT)...but not just because he can get a shot off. The accuracy plummets when it's forced or off balance or on the run etc.

I like the pace we play but we can maximize the difference between good and bad shots. Not every time...but more than we do currently.
