This pre-game has the feel of a mid-season exhibition - even a "bowl" game of sorts given the opponent.

Since Tulsa lost to UCF on Tuesday, we are locked in as the 5th seed of the conference tournament. So on top of this game, our regular season finale against ECU has little stakes.

Vanderbilt played @LSU on Tuesday without their two best players, Scotty Pippen Jr and Dylan Disu.

It'd be nice to spread out the minutes tonight while also giving the seniors a proper send-off.

Despite their record, Vanderbilt are not a bad team. We will need to play well to win.

The result really doesn’t matter, but every win makes everyone feel a little better going in to next year. Players included.

I’ve got UC winning if Pippen doesn’t play and if he does play I have UC winning! The frosh squad are too much to handle

Ugly defense to start out. Vogt already with 2 fouls, so hope Tari can play well.

Now that was an ugly run by Diarra. Needs to understand he's not in to be a creator on offense.

Unless we add some serious defenders next year, my guess next season is the worst defensive UC team in 30 years.

We need to really get some defenders.

Simply awful defense

That was one of the worst defensive halves I have ever seen. We had all sorts of problems.

Vogt was simply abused, he's not fast enough to stay with any of them.

They had success getting Pippen switched onto a matchup they liked and taking advantage. Eason got switched onto Pippen multiple times and got beat.

We had lack of communication with Diarra trying to switch off Pippen and nobody switching onto him, leaving a wide open 3.

We had failure to hedge hard enough by Davenport, giving Pippen a second 4 point play. We had hedging too hard and committing fouls (mostly on Pippen).

Essentially, Pippen with his combination of quickness and accurate shooting destroyed us. Some other Vandy players did some things too, but it was mostly Pippen.

This team is very bad.

Watching live in person is putrid.

I think I'd trade the entire team for Pippen, he is single handedly destroying our defense and playing pretty well on the defensive end himself. Not that our defense is any good, but he's pretty impressive.

Might be time to call it a year. Down to 8 guys. 2 of them are Vogt and dou. See if brannen can work some miracles in the spring.

Making a comeback, lets see if we can sustain it. Not sure our defense has really gotten better, but Vandy has started missing open shots. Nobody on their team seems all that impressive on offense besides Pippen.

That finish was abysmal. Good grief! WTAF!!

Did we even get a legit shot off in the last 5 minutes? We threw it away after a timeout and then we continued the same plan until game was over

Mason some how takes the 2nd most shots on the team and ends up with just 3 points.

Freshmen played a lot of minutes against a bottom feeder power 5 team and combine for 3-17


This team needs serious talent to compete next year. Like scrappy tough alphas otherwise it will be be another rough year.

It wasn’t everyone either. MAW had an impact on this game in more ways than one.

I have ZERO problems with a shooter taking shots

Keith was awful in crunch time again

Eason needs to learn to play within his capabilities, 6 TO's, mostly trying to do to much on offense.

Mason doesn't have much value if he's not making 3's. Without Saunders (injured, don't think he'd played in the 2nd half) he had to be on the floor, but didn't do a lot.

Diarra also needs to play within his capabilities, he seems to want to showcase his offensive skills and more often than not his offensive skills are TO's.

The whole team needs to get tougher and rebound better. Vandy was smaller and isn't a particularly good rebounding team, but beat us badly on the glass.

Pippen showed us what a real NBA talent looks like, we have nobody on the team who is even near his level.

Vogt was worthless, abused on defense and ineffective on offense despite a massive size advantage.

Keith, MAW and Davenport played pretty well, though Davenport struggled on defense and Keith only had 2 rebounds. The last 4 minutes though, they stopped caring about playing team basketball and just tried to go 1v5.

This looked like a poorly coached team. From lack of effort, toughness, rebounding and defense. Eason and Diarra trying to do too much on offense, Keith and MAW playing hero ball at the end. Their young, it's Covid, there are excuses, but Brannen has had a whole season and this is the result. Next year there are no more excuses, so he better coach up a much better product on the court.

Vogt , Diarra .... thanks for playing and giving effort to UC but you can take that jersey off and never put it on again.... if you want to play next year go to a new school.... Vogt is Adam H level and I’m not kidding

I also have zero issues with a shooter shooing .... shooters have bad games , that’s just the nature of the beast

This team is just so soft, they are full of wannabe tough guys.... Give me Davenport, DDJ and Tari (because of potential).... everyone else , I couldn’t care less if you stay or go , they are all a dime a dozen at our level of basketball..... which is A10 status
