Unlike last year, there's a fairly strong possibility we could lose at any point given how close many of these teams have played us at one point or another throughout the season. |
I would prefer to only have to play UCF OR Houston (opposite side of the bracket). However I would also prefer to not play Memphis on their home court.
Other than that, it doesn't much matter. Lot of teams that have played us tough and would be tough outs. |

luckiest draw ever

Good draw. Time to get the ship back on track.
We need some positive momentum. |
Pros of playing Tulsa
-Already beat them twice. One was a blowout. -They don't have an all-league player who we have to worry about carving us up. - They're 4-10 in road/neutral site games on the year. Two of those wins were against Tulane and ECU. Cons of playing Tulsa -They just lost by 3 @Memphis. They're not playing too bad at the moment. Pros of playing SMU -Already beat them twice as well (albeit in two nail biters) -With little depth fatigue would likely be an issue for them playing on back-to-back nights -They're vulnerable to giving up and getting blown out (ala @UCF) -Their best player, McMurray, is very streaky and could easily shoot his way out of the game to help us out. Cons of playing SMU -They just won @USF (albeit USF was w/o Rideau). They should be playing very confident with nothing to lose if they beat Tulsa. -They have Foster back. Although he just played 9 min at USF he could be a bigger factor against us. -I think they have more talent/better shooters than Tulsa and could be much tougher to beat a 3rd time. |

I heard chad say on the skinny podcast, that he would want to lose and get the rest for the tourney. Anyone else confused by this? I would want to win anything we could at this point. Realistically how far could this team go in the tournament? With our history, and how this team has looked the last month, I am guessing not far.
