Really makes you wonder if cost if whats leading this decision. Have to assume it would be a bit cheaper to sign somebody without any coaching experience (and possibly not have to pay a buyout).

I'm just not sure I like the idea of signing an assistant from another program. It's one thing if your guy leaves and you bring up a guy under him. Just not sure how I feel about an outsider...

The quickest way to be good in 1-2 years is likely with Brannen though, thats the rub in all of this. Again this is just assuming there isn't a sleeping bear behind the curtains that hasn't dropped...

I mean I see the options as cut after this season and try to get a guy in to go after the local guys for 2022, or you ride it out and let brannen try to get them. Worst case is fire after next year...
