Im really not sure where this idea that if you're in the AAC you can't recruit and shouldn't even think about tournament success. Thats complete bullcrap.
We have been to 9 straight tourneys so that part is definitely doable. What I am referring to is getting up to that next level. We either have to up recruiting or up coaching or both to get on that Gonzaga level.

Even if we maintain the Cronin level of recruiting...but it is more focused on offense than defense...perhaps that is the bump we need who knows. So a 3 star defensive specialist vs a 3 star offensive specialist are two completely different ways to go about things. The recruit will likely be missing something if they are 3 stars whether it's skills or athleticism.

Now if we can start landing more in that 4 star range we can expect them to have more of both skills and athleticism. That is the range we need to tap into more...and if we don't then we have to believe recruiting offense with an offensive minded coach is a better recipe.

Seriously, if we go from one 4 star guy every year to 1.5...then we just added 2 more talented guys to the roster over a 4 year stretch than we are used to. That seems like a significant bump to me...not a marginal one.
