Ratings are based on points per possession. They simplify it into grades like Poor, below average, Excellent ETC

They get the grades as measure up against Everyone else, so the percentage you will see next to each player is the percent of players in D1 they grade better than.

Here is the scale:
83-100%: Excellent
65-82%: Very Good
51-64%: Good
31-50%: Average
15-30%: Below Average
0-14%: Poor

Since this is UC basketball, lets start with Defense first:
Chris Vogt: Poor (1.143 ppp) 4%
Jay Sorolla: Excellent (.57 ppp) 93%
Chris McNeal: Excellent (.65 ppp) 85%
Zach Harvey: Very Good (.68 ppp) 81%
Jeremiah Davenport: Excellent (.67 ppp) 83%
Jaevin Cumberland: Good (.79 ppp) 57%
Mika Adams-Woods: Below Average (.98 ppp) 16%
Keith Williams: Very Good (.76 ppp) 65%
Mamoudou Diarra: Excellent (.55 ppp) 95%
Tre Scott: Very Good (.73 ppp) 71%
Jarron Cumberland: Good (.77 ppp) 62%

Offense:
Chris Vogt: Excellent (1.18 ppp) 98%
Jay Sorolla: Very Good (.95 ppp) 71%
Chris McNeal: Poor (.59 ppp) 7%
Zach Harvey: Poor (.52 ppp) 5%
Jeremiah Davenport: Below Average (.70 ppp) 17%
Jaevin Cumberland: Very Good (.95 ppp) 72%
Mika Adams-Woods: Excellent (1.03 ppp) 88%
Keith Williams: Good (.88 ppp) 55%
Mamoudou Diarra: Average (.838 ppp) 44%
Tre Scott: Average (.83 ppp) 42%
Jarron Cumberland: Average (.82 ppp) 38%
Biggest surprises would be On defense. MAW and Harvey. MAW seems like a good defender. Maybe fouls too much. And Harvey I am guessing the sample isn’t large enough to get a good idea.
