It's all riding on Cumberland of course but I can't wait to see what Brannen can do with the bench. Diara, Gillam, Hardnett, Moore. If he can get two of those guys to produce at an acceptable level...our roster depth may become a non issue. I think the depth will be there one way or another...but we need at least a couple of those guys to step up as reliable role players. Or any new addition we may add. We need 1 combo guard on the bench who is a capable replacement and then 1 big. 7 deep would be ideal.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=velWYcS5MGc (this was Prince at the Adidas camp last year) Take what you will from these videos because in these AAU tournaments there is little defense ( a lot of running up and down the court with monster dunks) https://247sports.com/college/cincin...lam-121239553/ ( this is a pretty good article on him) He scored double digit points in 10 of the 12 games played at the highest level in the Nike and Adidas tourneys last year against some highly rated opponents. Points are not everything and I know that but this kid plays extremely hard and is a good shot blocker for only being on 6'7 ( reminds me of eric hicks, undersized forward who can play d and make a play with the ball in his hand.) He redshirted last year because he signed late and didn't get to campus until the last day of august. He's also a 4.0 student which speaks volumes about the type of kid he is. |

Still, they have to make the jump to the next level at UC and are only redshirt freshmen. I expect them to be excellent players at some point, but like with Diarra my concern is they won't get there quick enough this year. Have to wait until we actually see them on the court. |
