I still would want Harvey on the team. I thought he would challenge for MIP on team. But if you can score better than another player but the other player can do everything else well...there really isn't much difference in what they both offer.
If he showed an unwillingness to do those other things...as a coach you have to put the other guy in. Now I am not saying I know who that other guy is Mason or MAW or whoever. I don't think anyone has thoroughly outplayed Harvey in every other facet. There was obviously a disconnect here. Part of that could be on the player and part of that could be on the coach. It's now history though... I would have liked to see him come in JR year and take over for Keith but who's to say he would have been penciled in as a starter? He hasn't really started yet and there was/is a prime opportunity this year to do just that. |

detriment % made consistency ? I’m thinking of the X player from a couple years ago that went for 40 vs UC - he had a pretty good sized arc. |

There's a tradeoff. Too flat of a shot decreases the size of the target area since the plane of the hoop is at a tighter angle to the ball path. Too high of a shot increases the distance the ball travels (and the force required), so inaccuracy is magnified. Some players can become good shooters with flat or high arcing shots, but in general they are not ideal.

Let’s just win on Sunday then we don’t have to even think about Zach Harvey.
If UC can beat Houston on Sunday, then they have a legit shot at running the table. No one in this league scares me outside of Houston. And I was much higher on Houston when they had Caleb mills who I feel was their crunch time player. This league is absolutely pathetic. Next year John has to use a Mick Cronin Approach for the schedule. We will be too young and inexperienced to play too many tough games in a row. We cant eliminate our selves from the tourney in the non con |

Looking at some of the recruits we are interested in for 21, I like some of them. I don’t know the interest levels, I don’t follow recruiting too much but a couple of them look good.
The French kid Adana bal looks like a player. Exauce manissa looks like the player many are looking for. 6’9, great body, not many skills but would be a project. Bryson spell, good size and skill, many slower but looks decent. Anyone know anything about these guys? |

Here's our resume right now:
Q1: 1-3 Q2: 2-3 Bad losses: 2 Generally bubble teams are around .500 in Q1&2 games with 1 or 2 bad losses. As bad as this season has been for us, a different result in just a couple games would change the outlook and I might have been following the bubble. Of course our wins have been by tiny margins so we aren't very good in the metrics, but I like to think even some modest improvements could make us competitive again. |
