im still certain the sample size on those 3's is short term variance. what's his man shooting on the season? it was insane before, im sure its just as crazy.

when you got guys like the guy from Tulane going 5-5 from 3, some of them even steps behind the line its going to make your overall numbers look bad.

as long as he plays good post defense, thats all we care about.

A few 3 pointers aren’t driving him to have the probably the worst rated defense UC has had in the past 30 years.

His defense is really geared for a 2-3 zone.

But I didn’t post these to call out Vogt.

I’ll take his defensive issues because of the way he scores.

But I looked up his post up defense.

It’s not goof either

He’s listed at average in the post allowing .85 points per possession, which is better than 42% of D1

Non post ups (shots around the basket) he is giving 1.16 points per possession

So essentially he doesn’t defend the rim either

But again, who cares

What was Quadri’s. That one has to be in the conversation I would think.

the 3's definitely were the main cause of his grade being so bad when you posted his individual numbers before, thats why i keep asking if his post defense is still strong like it was before.

that would be a big drop from before, which is not good. and he does need to be able to defend his man 1v1 in the post.

Lol I know is going to be hard to believe but in 16-17 season, quadri was an excellent defender, in 49 possessions giving up just .65 ppp

Guys make hard shots on him. Not sure how that factors. The Tulane guy, Colgate guy, Jones from Xavier all made hard shots. At some point it his fault but all you can do is put a hand in their face and if he can’t move that’s gonna be kinda hard.

I question these metrics if they are telling me Quadri was an excellent defender. He’s one of the worst I’ve ever seen. No one ever seen quad and said he is a good defender. No one. Maybe that was a sample size thing.

My other guess would be Yancy, only because he didn’t try very hard. Or it seemed that way at times.
