It was a different time. The last 5-6 years of Cronin era, all the 5 stars were going to basically 4 schools.

All I want is multiple top 100 guys on the team most years. Maybe 3-4. Seems like Cronin could only do that once. The Gary, Kyle, Jacob, Jarron year
Even top 150 guys. 3 stars. Get a whole team of them and by the time they are juniors/seniors, you will be really good. Wichita state this year and next will be a good example of that

Logan was something like a 2 star with his only other scholly being Cleveland St, if memory serves right.

Shows how wrong the rating system can sometimes be. The "little fat guy" developed into a first team All American.

Look at the disconnect in Mick first year with D. Vaughn. Man did his game change from the previous year vs a year of Cronin.
I would think Justin Jennifer was more of a pure point than SG. Totally agree with all the negativity against Mick, just think JJ couldn't possibly be seen as a non pure point l, atleast when recruited.

Your right he was, but as soon as he arrived it was stripped away. His recruiting highlights showed great court vision and getting others invoved while somewhat chubby lol, but the PG was the Head Coach only lol. Never let him run the offense to find a groove. I know the players knew all the offensive sets, so why not let them play to their recruited abilities.

JJ would've been 4yr starter in this new offense. He was scared pass ball 10ft in Mick offense

A couple of things to add here. (1) They didn't really have 5*/4*/3* rankings back then, but they did have traditional player rankings through publications like HoopScoop, Street & Smiths and Basketball Times. (2) 5* rankings usually captures players ranked 1-25/low 30s.

Remember, Huggins got "5-Star-ish" talent via Transfer as well...
