Strong response after allowing USF to go on an early 2nd half run.

It was nice of Davenport to show up in the 2nd half.

unfortunately even when he shows up it's only on one side of the court.

DeJulius is now shooting 40.4% from 3 (21/52) during conference play, which marks the 2nd best 10-game stretch of his career.

He shot 44.4% (16/36) throughout the course of 10 consecutive OOC games during his sophomore year at Michigan.

Interestingly, Davenport had the second best +/- for the game (+16). I did not think he had a particularly good defensive game either. Perhaps it was just because he was usually on at the same time as DDJ (+19) who unsurprisingly led us in +/-, unsurprising because our offense was terrible when DDJ was in.

Third in plus +/- was MM (+11), he had a pretty big impact in his 9 minutes. He's a mix of great plays and head scratching mistakes, but you can see the potential if he can cut down on errors.

Good three point shooting saved us last night. It would have been very tight if we made our typical percentage of the 21 threes we attempted. On average we would have made 7 of those, but we made 10 giving us 9 extra points in an 11 pt win. It's not good that we have to rely on above-average shooting to beat a team ranked outside the top 200.

DDJ was great last night, posting by far his most efficient scoring performance of the season. He had 24 pts on only 14 attempts. Saunders had 10 pts on only 4 attempts. Overall we shot the ball very well, which we needed to make up for our highest turnover rate of the season.

I liked what I saw from Madsen. He had some silly turnovers and shots, but he made things happen on both ends of the floor. We desperately need offensive creativity on this team, and he brings a very different style than our starting backcourt.

Since we've started conference play, our 3-point shooting has more or less been "all or nothing".

We're shooting 35.4% as a team over the past 10 games, but during 4 of those games we've shot less than 22.2% and we've shot over 36.4% for the other 6.

During OOC play, we had 7 games where our 3FG% was between those two marks. So while we're not shooting as well, we were at least more consistent.

He's also averaged around 17 points in conference (I think). A lot has been put on his plate. He is not super efficient but a lot of his scoring comes from shots that are not set shots. He's got some shifty moves and gets defenders off balance a lot. The rest of the guys other than maybe Mike (sometimes) struggle to get separation.

DDJ has really taken off and his confidence is really high right now.
