This staff simply can’t land top 100 recruits. The last one was Cumberland who is without a doubt the best player on the team. I think our poor recruiting results are catching up to us. With UConn, Memphis, Houston all outperforming us on the recruiting trail it is a matter of one to two years before we become middle of the pack in the American.

I am actually shocked by how well Cronin has been able to get his teams to play into his system and on court results. However, if he doesn’t do something to inject some buzz around our program in recruiting I am afraid he will be eventually fired. I just don’t see how can sustain success with how bad recruiting has been lately.

Gilliam, Hardnett, Brooks, Scott, Diarra, and Nsoseme’s of the world just wont cut it. No matter how hard they play and fit into our system. They simply don’t possess the talent. Unfortunately for Cronin, talent ultimately wins out in Basketball.

S. Curtis, L. Johnson, Keith Williams, Cumberland, Evans, Clark, caupain,Justin Jackson, dion Dixon, Sean Kilpatrick, lance stephenson,
cashmere wright, Yancy gates, Deontae Vaughn

Cronin gets at least 1 great/very good player per class going strictly by ranking systems jermain Lawrence and Quadri Moore would be top 10 guys in micks reign and it’s simply not true, Torrence looks like a good player but mick will find another good fit, also think prince Gilliam is going to be better than you think.

I think cronins recruiting has been 1 step below where we need. But missing out on 1 guy isn’t the end of the world. Would have been nice though.
