Look it takes a true leader of men to lead men or young men. John Brannen is a tall, awkward adams family looking guy that gives coach speak, and loves to stay in the house with his family. His press conferences are as dry as ever, he looks like he's been coaching for years but the resume just isnt there. Not for this job, not for this University. Why didn't we get some young, fresh guy in here with sharp experience and expected loyalty to the program? Oh we did that 13 yrs ago... Could we of done it again and gotten better? Well after 3 decades of very solid Basketball out of cincinnati i dont see why we couldn't have. We didnt even pluck from our tradition tree and use one of our former players or former coaches no, lets hire the guy across the river at NKU. He gets here no more top 15 team, guys leave and now our 2k point scorer, surely would be all America with a strong team in this conference is upset. We looked very average against alabama a&m and ppl are actually taking all of that lightly bc apparently something must of swept in over night into this town and made Bearcat nation punch drunk for John Brannen.. You get what you deserve

Last year, I never understood why a team without an offense would walk the ball up the court. They should have been trying to beat the defense down the court to stay out of the half court game. This year, we have both....a team that pushes the pace and runs an offense!
Brannen has never sent a soul to the NBA, he's never had a top 50 win

Give him time, he's not had much of an opportunity for a top 50 win yet; nor the chance to send anyone to the NBA

Get off this board Dan Cronin. Mick was an extremely average coach for 13 years. You’re going to base JB’s tenure and future successes off of one game against Alabama A&M, and where he suspended a guy that clearly thinks he’s going to waltz through this season. If Cumberland can’t buy into a team then that’s husband problem. Done are the days where Kilpatrick, Vaughn, Stephenson, Cumberland it Evans pounds the rock into the ground for 20 and seconds and takes a bad shot. I’ve liked what I’ve seen in 2-3 games.

Way to strive for greatness with our “very solid” program. We should be happy with the slightly above average that mick brought year after year. Cya dan

If you didn't like Mick, how could you be happy with brannen? I just don't understand it

Dude.... Cumberland has never done nothing flagrant during his time here pretty good track record I'm not sure about brannen tho, and baseing all this criticism off the first day he was hired not just 1 game or 3 games

Before UC who did your bald midget lover Cronin send to the NBA from Murray State? You are ridiculous and have the worst takes I have ever seen. You can’t expect a guy to send people to the NBA when they are coaching mid majors. I bet Cronin will be fires from UCLA in under 5 years.
