Heard they just lost their 6th man, Durand Johnson, for the year with an ACL. Hopefully it doesn't derail them too much.

I would really like to see us have another good team in our conference after Louisville leaves this year, I would love to get a team like Wichita state from the mvc since Creighton isn't in it anymore they won't have really any challenges in that conference. I don't know if they have a football team, but we could really use them in basketball.

This will be an interesting week for UConn. They play at Memphis on Thursday and host L'ville on Saturday.

I watched a little of the SMU / USF game. SMU did a nice job updating / renovating their home court. It's on the small side at about 7000 capacity but should be a good home court for them.
In the updated ESPN BPI / Tournament section SMU is in as 7 seed - The idea being if the season were over today Lunardi would project then as in. Currently 5 AAC team - the Cats, memphis, smu, uconn and l'ville project as in. 5 teams in would be huge for a new conference. |

Who are you guys rooting for tonight in the UConn/Memphis game on ESPN at 7? I guess it doesn't matter too much if it all stays in the conference, but I'll be pulling for Memphis, just because we have a good quality road win against them. If they can remain a great team and finish top 15, that'd be huge for us.

Anyone read P-doc today in the Enquirer? He mentioned, in reference to the x-gtown game, that he likes the new big east better due to more offense and being more entertaining. His claim isn't without merit, but there was something special about those big east slug fests, at least to me. Every shot mattered. The way I felt about the old big east was how I think SEC fans think about their brand of football - it's just better and no conference compares
