'11 NC PG Jerome Seagears
Point guard
Red Springs, North Carolina Flora Macdonald Academy AAU: D.C. Assault Ht:6'2" Wt:173 lbs Class:2011 (High School) Offers from Georgetown, Florida, Missouri, UMass, George Mason, and Tulane. Cincinnati, DePaul, Rutgers and Seton Hall are the next wave of schools to jump into his recruitment, plus his favorite school, Maryland, has showed a little interest. Seagears is an aggressive lead guard that has good strength for his size. He has a tight handle and pushes the ball with great pace to put constant pressure on the defense. ESPN rates him at 91. Speed is a virtue at the point guard position and Jerome Seagears has plenty of it. The the six foot tall floor general from Flora McDonald in Red Springs, N.C. is a jet with the ball who weaves in and out of traffic and shows tremendous burst to the rim in pick and roll situations.

Jerome Seagears - A physical point guard in the 2011 class, Seagears has command of the game with the ball in his hands. Love his pace when attacking on the high-ball screen.

Has offers from Georgetown, Florida and Missouri, and is now hearing from Rutgers, Depaul and Seton Hall. Played in Cincinnati last summer and really liked the campus.

Speed kills, and UC definitely needs to play more uptempo.

Four-star point guard Jerome Seagears did an excellent job running the show for the DC Assault.

Scoring is something that comes naturally for Seagers and it is because he can do it in so many ways. Seagears is excellent in using ball screens, especially going to his right, and when he does get the screen he is threat to either get a paint touch off the drive or shoot it from deep. Either way it often resulted in a bucket. Also Seagears used the step back jumper as a weapon, and it was his performance that got D.C. Assault the victory.
Says he has offers from Cincinnati, Rutgers, DePaul, Clemson, Maryland, and Boston College with interest from Arizona and Georgetown. http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.c...sp?CID=1101012 Last edited by bearcat jeff; 07-08-2010 at 05:01 AM. |
