DC Art Kaufman fired
Tommy T decided to fire him today, citing recruiting as the main reason behind the move:http://news.cincinnati.com/article/2...ways-2-coaches

Another brilliant move from Tuberville. The guy has been coaching for 30 years at many different schools and now you realize that doesn't recruit? Why even bring him in the first place?

I realize you're not his biggest fan, but are you criticizing him for making the right decision later than you would've liked?

From what I understand as well it wasn't that Kaufman couldn't recruit, it was that he didn't have the midwest connections that I think Tubs has realized he needs on his staff so he's trying to get more midwest recruiting connections somewhere on the staff.

They have reportedly hired Hank Hughes who was the co-DC of UConn before being demoted. Yep, we got a guy that was demoted off of DC and he has ZERO midwest recruiting ties.
Another brilliant move by Tuberville!! |
