I read it in the news article talking about the cancelation of the conference tourney. They said we won the AQ by being the #1 seed. Quirk of fate, but there it is. I won't argue that they didn't deserve it!

I’ll take the conference championship, the auto or the at large. Just squeaked by in each scenario. What a nerve racking year though...wow!! Glad the seniors went out with a win, a championship, and each did something in the final game to feel good about. |

Probably a good thing Tulsa and Uconn got off to poor starts. WSU was also a bubble team and in on bracket matrix. Those are 6 teams that were tourney quality at one point in the season or another. Winning this conference is not an easy thing to do. I think we did see some player development as well. Bravo to the team and the coach with all the nagging injuries and new system to learn...late recruiting etc. I am definitely satisfied with year 1 from our coach. I hope we get a nice start to 2021 recruiting and end 2020 with a couple of solid transfers and maybe a late bloomer HS kid. |
