Madman81 you would be surprised. I still compete and train people on occasion at 62. If it wasn't for a bad shoulder I still would be kicking 60 year old bodybuilders butts. The last show, I finished 3rd against the kids. I also happen to be a one of the few retired GI's who have never drank a cup of coffee in his life. In all fairness I do get beat on defense from time to time. Even on the short court. Yes I do cherry pick. LOL!!!!

Based on recruiting rankings I think it would be
G - Wright (#82 Rivals, #76 ESPN) G - Stephenson (#11 Rivals, #12 ESPN) F - Lawrence (#26 Rivals, #35 ESPN) F - Gates (#22 Rivals, #30 ESPN) C - Biggie (#56 Rivals) Did I miss someone? |

And he followed that up with a third team and no mention. Guess what it says he had a great year with a so so career. Vaughn was a high volume shooter on teams that struggle to score. He was the first, second, and third option for his first three years.

Troy Caupain (JR)
Sean Kilpatrick (SR) Lance Stephenson (FR) Gary Clark (JR) Yancy Gates (SR) That's a national championship winning team right there. Caupain/Wright/Vaughn and Clark/Jackson/Williamson are close. Kilpatrick, Stephenson, and Gates are probably the 3 most talented players to play for Cronin... even if Gates never lived up to his potential. |

Cumberland and Evans aren't on the All time team yet but I expect at least Evans to be.
He will be a star at UC. He already showed he is unafraid at this level. He keeps working and we have a guy who could end up with better numbers than kilpatrick (maybe not in total points because Evan's will have shooters around him) |

If you look to build a team to win one game then my starting five would be
1Troy 2 SK 3 Evans 4 Lance 5 Clark If you're looking for best team for era type HOF (for lack of a better word) then: 1Troy 2 SK 3 Vaughn 4 Bishop 5 Gates Visibly missing is total lack of a true center in either line-up. With a little more (not sure if it's effort, coaching, discipline, you name it) and Ellis might have made the list, but he needed (and still needs) that something extra. |
