Fifth third renovation

has anyone heard anything about fifth third renovation or if moving downtime and helping them make improvements there is the better option. seems this is not being mentioned unless they are just waiting to get the funds for nippert before starting on this project. This honestly will hold us back more then anything our venues

Nippert is already paid for. I'm guessing that talks with US Bank Arena are ongoing and that UC is weighing their options. It would be tough to get the donors to pay for 2 renovations to be certain.

There hasn't been any serious discussions. The report was that it would cost $100 million to redo 5th 3rd by switching the direction of the court (and cutting down some seats). For this reason, renovation is a nonstarter.

Other rumors of US Bank Arena being renovated partly by the city and partly by the university seems more realistic to me.

ya i would not mind either one but i bet for 30 million at us bank you could do a hell of a lot

Whit on Sports Talk with Lance talking about playing permanently at US Bank: "If they were to build the Taj Mahal, we'd be crazy not to look at it."

Doesn't mean anything really; just thought I'd share.
