Why are we still on the list and not in the the other side? There has to be a reason

Because we are on the bubble? So what. If we are on the bubble we sure as hell don’t want to be off of it

I agree. I’m just saying that it won’t happen if it doesn’t make financial sense for the conferences. I’m asking what do we add that they don’t have, then they have to pay us a share of the revenues. Do we bring in more for the conference than they have to pay us? Does the big 10 and sec not have the cincy market?

No school feels sorry for us

Didnt say we were the best before and they took Louisville over us in a neck n neck race because they were having a lot of success in football at the time.

Probably because we are an absolutely trash school who deserves nothing but the worst. I’m just happy we’ve been able to retain bcatfollower as a fan, that’s a yuge win!

If it didn’t make sense we would NOT be in consideration.

I eagerly await the “list” every year to make sure we are still on top of the g5. It was a big morale boost when Louisville was deemed a better school to add to the acc. But hey, at least we are top of the list!

So were we. If you read up on it, it was really between UConn and Louisville, we were a distant third. Bc kept UConn out

It doesn’t make sense

We have the 28th highest GOP by city in the US, we are 30th in population, we have an endowment greater than 15 already power 5 schools. I could keep going

Fwiw, the reason they took Louisville was primarily because of facilities. And least that's what's been stated by both the ACC at the time, and numerous people who covered realignment.

Since then we've overhauled both Nippert and 5/3rd. Nippert got an 86 million dollar upgrade and was expanded to 40,000 capacity. 5/3rd got a 100 million dollar renovation. And of course, we've also added the practice bubble in the year since as well. (Currently planning an indoor facility right now too)

So facilities hurt us bit at that time, but not so much now.

The other big reason we got left standing in a game of musical chairs probably has a lot to do with Whit Babcock and the BOT. While other schools we're ahead of the game, we were late. While they were working up presentations and strategies we were clinging to the Big East, thinking it wasn't going to implode. We were reactive and not proactive, and by that time it was too little too late.

UC is by far the most attractice G5 right now, and have been for a decade. There's a TON of reasons we make perfect sense for a P5 to add, and the only thing that may be preventing right now is existing television deals.

This guy blowing you shit over is is out of his mind. You're 100% right. I really don't how anyone could argue that UC has no chance to join a P5.
