This isn't a UC fan issue alone though. It's Cincinnati fans in general. Look at the Reds or Bengals. Fans in this city are stubborn and sometimes very irrational.

Correct! That is what I meant and its extremely true. I honestly have never seen any other fan base always so negative and full of excuses. People just need to enjoy themselves.

I haven't either. I have lived in Massachusetts, St. Louis, Cincinnati and Columbus in the last 8 years. Nothing compares to fans in Cincinnati and that's not a good thing. You would think fans in the northeast would be terrible but they are at least reasonable.

What blows my mind is in the '99-'00 season, we sold out EVERY SINGLE HOME GAME that season. I don't think it's possible for that to ever happen again, the way fans are these days. Would rather bitch about the game not being on TV rather than getting off your ass and going.

Don't forget things have changed in terms of TV. People now have larger TVs and and HD plays a big role. Add in the economy and people have to make more decisions regarding their entertainment spending.

UC needs to make the games events that people want to come to. Part of that comes from a better experience watching the games.

.
You are right and this is what I don't understand. What ever happened to going to a game to watch your team play? I go to the game and my wife gets mad because I ignore her for two hours because I'm so intent on watching every second of the game. I know I'm getting old because the older I get the more and more I hate people. When did we become a society of such needy people that have to be coddled to attend a basketball game. I hate the NFL blackout rule, but I'm starting more and more to understand it. Maybe when Huggins gets fired or retires from West VirGINA we can give him courtside seats and pay him to come to games and tell fans they can come and see the legend himself in the seats at every game. We'd probably sell out every game. (Sarcasm in case anyone missed it.)

Just wanted to add I was an ARLR 3-pointer away from perfectly predicting the score. That is all.
