L-T, JD111 hasn't played nearly enough to warrant that kind of confidence. He hit one big shot but last year at the end of the St. John's game but we lost that game against St. johns on their buzzer beater at the shoe. Thinking a guy with little foot speed and a suspect lefthand can run the point is a wild expectation. He is not a PG.

SK needs to learn how to do other things when his shot isn't falling. Too many times he continues to just throw sh!t up even when its not falling. Like today, 0-8 from 3 and 2-12 overall...just look at his stats for BE play this year...its been the only thing consistent from him.

It would b4 nice to see him improve his handle and get to the rim a little more consistently but without many ofther options it is hard to carry the team everynight when the other team is focused on stopping you.

That means he shot 50% fom inside the arc and doesn't have enough bb iq to take shots at the rim when his outside shot isn't falling. Yes, teams plan to stop SK, but he is not aggressive in trying to get open or in demanding the ball.

jeff I can agree with you he needs work on his handle. Actually it is probably what keeps him at UC next, year. Saying he should just do it is not the answer if he is incapable. Who should he throw it to. He still led team in scoring. Do you really think we win if he doesn't score? Fact is he can't create for himself and hasn't done it all year. He is a perimeter player that spots up and shoots.

Says it all. If he could create his own shot he wouldn't have a problem going to the basket. Look at Siva, Boatwright, Napier, Smith etc, those are guards who other teams focus on and try to stop them but that doesn't stop them from getting fouled while going to the hole. The fact is, SK has turned into one dimensional player and its hurting himself and everyone else on the team. It has nothing to do with the other UC players on the court or what the opposing teams defensive plans are. The fact is, he can't dribble and can't create his own shot. Everything else is just an excuse to why he can't drive to the basket and make a shot or get fouled.

UCALUM, I agree to a degree. Saying everyone else suffers is a bit over top. He is very good at what he does. Could he improve sure but he is a big part of our 22 wins. With a little better spacing by adding a quality big he may get to the rim a bit more. sK is not the reason we lose.

Also not sold on JDIII. Most reports I read on him indicated his lefthand was not up to par. We desperately need someone who can drive, dish and distribute. Oh, and if he is playing for Mick he better be able to guard.
Might help if he's stone deaf or enjoys getting screamed at.

He won't leave as a senior, but one can dream. I have been overly disappointed with how raw he is.
Nyarsuk sucks. Butter hands. No basketball IQ. It's not a game they play much of in Sudan.
The real question is - who will replace Parker? His hustle, never-say-die attitude, toughness, quickness all rolled into one.
Best up-and-coming player we have is Shaq. Bar none!

Nyarsuk is not that bad. He has shown some flashes of brilliance and it is his first year playing D1. Also, he hasnt played b-ball for a long time and if he would've passed the English ACT, would've had 4 years to develop. Somebody as raw as him needs more time......
