Junior signal-caller Patrick Coyne (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin) committed to sign as part of Cincinnati's Class of 2011 Monday, ESPN affiliate Web site BearcatLair.com reports.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound prospect selected Cincinnati over scholarship offers from West Virginia, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Boston College. Other programs including Bowling Green, Ohio and Toledo also extended offers. looks like I am a few hours late, Coyne is a great pickup. Local kid with some great D1 offers, he should be a good one.

I'm pleased. UC probably won't take any more, so he was smart in verballing sooner than later. The big need is the defensive front. I hope to see more offers coming out in the next two weeks with DL in the forefront.

Killed the Elite11 in Columbus.. He's 6'1.5" now according to his father and was the consensus top QB at the event.
