But the effort of this team has been poor for 6 weeks straight. It takes them getting down 14 points to a god awful soulless basketball team like temple, to finally realize they have to go.

That’s frustrating.

I’m 30 games in and I still don’t know what the staple of Brannen ball will be. We lack an identity.

Believe me no one wants John Brannen exceed mick then me. But mick and Huggins raised the standard of whet we should expect at UC. We aren’t UCLA, we can’t make a bad hire and then make a good one and all the sudden jump back in to the national spotlight.

I want CJB to be uber successful.

What’s crazy is that just 1 year ago, the Roles were reversed, it was half of you guys dissing Cronin every time we lost a game and me and a few others defending him and players.

Personally feel we are 3 losses from what I would call a successful season. UCF, Colgate & BGU. I can live with the road loss to Tulane. But the others are not acceptable at UC.

Add in that, I didn’t see much growth in the last 6 weeks of the year. The defensive issues stayed the same, the effort level the same, and if didn’t look like we got better as we were promised.

All that said... it’s a fresh start. The past means nothing now. I’m ready to see what we are made of.
So if we win the conference, win the conference tourney or make championship game, and make the ncaa how are we less successful than prior years?

we wouldn't be.

but also if 10 years from now brannen is still in this same spot with being on the bubble every year, people are going to be upset about that.

we just aren't upset about it after 1 season.

if its clear brannen has peaked at bubble/first round exit, people are gonna wanna move on. just how it works.

This year we won a 3 way share of the conference by going 13-5.. last year we finished in second place by going 14-4

Are you saying because we won a share of The conference title, that you think this year is better then last year ?

We performed better record wise, we were a lock for the tourney, and lost one bad game all year.

You don’t get a banner for regular season champs. The league doesn’t acknowledge it.

So I’d personally take 2nd place, an at large bid with zero pressure in the AAC tourney.

Reading comprehension is difficult, I understand. How is success measured if the same thing occurs in the metrics of success. League champ, tourney champions or championship game, and make the ncaa.

How would that be less successful than prior yearS? Since you guys just want to make the tourney.

Of course you would because Cronin was coach. Brannen is the first coach to win the league his first year since trey Baker. I figured you would love that stat

Bringing back only 3 players, Having Mcneal start the first 7 games, The Davenport injury to limit the bench early on, Cumberland injuries all year, Sorolla injury early on then leaving the team altogether, Brand new system, NO BENCH, Coachs father passing.....

Yes. Easily, yes. Honestly, it isnt even close

Yep, if last years team had an injured Jarron it would have looked a lot different. So I’m agreeing. Last years team wasn’t anything special. We lost to ecu, got killed at home to Houston. With a healthy Jarron.

I’m not even saying this years team is anything great, because it’s not. But do people think last years team was that great. We were a top 35ish team all year. With a healthy Jarron and coaching staff that recruited the players. What am I missing? Is that the standard we are shooting for? I think we will be fine if that’s what we are shooting for.

Assuming we win Friday, I know but let’s pretend, who do we want to play? It would be fun to end UConn’s season again and send them on their way but I think WSU would be an easier game. But WSU fans will probably pack the place, since it’s a 5 hour drive. Not sure who I’d want.
