I think this move to the AAC is the opportunity for Cincinnati to be the premiere basketball program in a good league, much like it was in CUSA. The timing of the Huggs ouster along with moving to a dominant Big East set this program back. Nothing anyone can do about it but move forward. If UC can win a conference title or two over the next few years, should they get an invite to an ACC or Big 12, it will be a much different story. The program will be coming into that league with a ton of momentum and not questions. |

Lawrence has turf toe and is questionable for Houston game tomorrow, this is also why he did not play the second half of Memphis game.

I think we lose this one big time, I don't think they will come ready to play and Houston will blow us out.
Houston- 97 Cincy- 63 ............ LOL just kidding, Cincy will keep up the great play and come out of Texas with a solid victory, Cincy wins this one big, SK will finally come out of his shooting slump, and their defense will shut them down. Cincy will roll to a victory Cincy- 70 Houston-52 |

Some people want to kill Cronin for working under Pitino. It is what it is as far as I am concerned. The benefit to this is what we are seeing right now though with this team. Cronin has taken what he has learned from Huggs on the defensive side and combined that with what he learned about the press from Pitino. One of the reasons I think Mick left UC to be with Petino was so that he could be a head coach. Go back to the year he left and compare the no. of Huggins' assistants who had become head coaches and Petino's. Huggins had what , one? Petino, a bunch. I know there has been Kennedy and Martin since then but both became HC's because Huggins left that school (UC & KState). It was a smart career move by Mick, which has been borne out. He has his dream job. Last edited by indydoug; 01-06-2014 at 07:15 PM. |

UC 70-58, we have lots of momentum and I think that Houston comes out flat.

Big game tonight. Would love to be 2-0 on the road. With Lawrence doubtful it is imparative that Rubles and JJ stay out of foul trouble. We will probably have to play small at times. Hope Sanders and ST continue their good production.
