Crazy is Zac Taylor(Bengals) looks like he's probably been one of our most paid assistant coaches of all time. He was making 500k. He has major connection in city somewhere I see

Tax records from 2015 had our baseball coach as 4th highest coach at 200k. Them some huge raises in 1yr if true

That's not happening. That is half of Brannen's salary and I don't think the assistant coach pool would big enough to account for that type of money. I think Savino was making around 250K or something like that. I would think 500K is the absolute limit and it might be less than that for one coach.

I'm saying 700k with incentives. Top 25 classes. Top 100 players. Tell him he gets paid to perform at high level. 500k with incentives and house should seal deal. Alabama can pay 700k easy so we have give him something if feels as challenge

Also see above. We paid Taylor 500k an he was unknown. Donors wouldn't mind paying extra 200k to coach for couple top 50 kids

So why are/were they paying him 280K or so? If Alabama would match 500K salary that has to tell the guy something.

Incentives aren't guaranteed...they are a bonus. If there are incentives I would like our chances over Bama. We clearly have a nice team coming back if they all stay so incentives on milestones would be easier to get at UC. I guess that also depends on who we have coming back with Cumberland being the main ingredient.

We can sell a higher base salary and easier to reach incentives.

If the assistant pool is set...it is set. Brannen has to work under those conditions. I imagine he could petition for more but that doesn't seem likely with a new contract just agreed to.
