Wichita State Part II
Sunday, February 17th, 2019
1:00 PM Fifth Third Arena ESPN After going through a spell that saw them lose 7 of 8 games, Wichita State (12-11, 5-6 AAC, NET #115) has since bounced back with 4 straight wins to re-emerge in the AAC's middle tier. Last Wednesday marked Wichita State's first true road win of the year when they beat ECU by 16 points in Greenville. The Shockers are currently the best free-throw shooting team during AAC play (at just over 75%) but have gotten to the line less than any other team in the league at right around 16 attempts per game. They continue to be one of the weaker 3-point shooting teams in the league at 31.4% (28.6% for AAC road games) during conference play (although they shot 38% against us at Koch). On our end, we've shot 41.4% from 3 at home during AAC play. This game should hopefully jump start another winning streak going into crunch time in March. |

I think this is a great bounce back game with Wichita winning 4 of there last 5. I hate that we had to wait a week to play another game after the loss but whatever. The game will be a sellout and Fifth Third will be rocking. With that being said I expect for Jarron to do what Jarron does and I will be interested to see how Jenifer plays this week due to his disappearance in the Houston game. I expect for Wichita State to hit some 3's because basically every team we play gets hot from three when we play them. Gotta contain Markis McDuffie, that kid is a ball player. With that being said I think the Cats come out and impose good tough defense and Jarron takes over late for a 70-62 win for the Cats.
Side note: Cant wait to see Gregg Marshall act like a complete psychopath on every call that doesn't go his teams way. I'm expecting the suit jacket to be thrown off with 4 minutes left in the first half. |

I Expect a battle.
On paper this should be a double digit win. But Greg Marshall will have his teamed geared up to play. Mcduffie is dangerous and Haynes-Jones is very clutch in the last few minutes. I think we win, but I do expect to see a good effort from WSU. Especially since they believe they were slighted in the last game |

This has been ugly so far. We need to create some turnovers.

Scott was awful on O. But he was giving maximum effort on the boards and made a difference in the last 4 minutes. Team seemed to tire at the end, but with the amount of energy used on terrific defense, makes sense. Get some rest and Gatorade and come out and continue to dominate in D
