Pitt and WVU has a leg up on UC in recruiting fertile recruiting grounds in NEO and Western PA. A kid from Cleveland like Gibson would be less than two hours away from home at Pitt, while going to UC is four hours away. UC really needs to do a better job of reeling in the local talent, kids from Dayton, Columbus, Indiana and KY. We have started a little with the local kids but I still feel we have a long way to go in that department. The better players from Dayton won't even talk to UC but we have made some in-roads in Columbus oddly enough.
Obviously we have done well Indy the past few seasons. |

Good find NTS! The "Stache" stepping down has already proven big for UC recruiting in landing Poteat. If Gibson comes here, that would be icing on the cake. This kid can motor. I would love to see him come around the corner in a UC uniform. He could cause havoc much like Connor Barwin did for UC. This defense becomes considerably better if they can get consistent pressure on opposing QBs. That is how you force turnovers. UC didn't have the pass rush consistently this past year to do that. This kid would definitely help in that regard for years to come. Go get him Butch!
