I also think it sends a certain message when you can land the top local talent. It especially hurts to lose a local prospect to Louisville. I know they have a lot to offer, but they also aren't a Michigan, OSU, ND, etc. type of program. Continuing to build depth in the trenches on both sides of the ball, IMO, is critical for sustained success.

Lakota West High junior center Ryan Kelly has received an offer from the University of Illinois.

It is the sixth offer for Kelly (6-4, 275), who also has offers from Cincinnati, Louisville, Indiana, Boston College and Syracuse.

Kelly also plans to visit the University of Alabama on Monday, April 5.

The beat goes on for Ryan Kelly. The Arizona Wildcats extended a scholarship offer today. I don't remember Arizona recruiting the Cincinnati area in the past.

If my math is correct, the Lakota West center now has seven BCS offers.
